<p>You definetly have a good shot at getting in. I had the same test scores as you did and pretty much the same extra curriculars and I just got my acceptance letter yesterday. You'll be fine.</p>
<p>i am being a realist... not to be mean. top 20% is not impressive, depending on the school. if you goto an elite private or magnet school then it is.</p>
<p>he <em>does</em> say it's a competitve school - his scores are right in range of Wake's, and I've known people with lesser GPA's than his who have been accepted. I think he has a fine chance! Good luck.</p>
<p>The school I go to is listed in the top ten public schools in the state. Anyone in the top 10% has an excellent chance at getting into an ivy league school. Also, my school is 500 kids, so there are many smart kids, not just a few. The only thing is, I think its hard for colleges to be able to judge that. Next year class rank will be removed from all transcripts because it ends up hurting the students due to the fact that our school is so competitive. <em>sigh</em> One year too late! :(</p>
