I'm an Asian American and I have been accepted to WFU (atm I'm still deciding) and I was wondering about how accepting WFU is of cultures, races, etc. I was wondering about this since I have seem some reviews regarding WFU college life. Here are some of my concerns:

-Elitest?
-Jock school, preppy school?
-"exclusive" social knits?
-Traditional Southern attitudes?

additionally, regarding the academics. Is WFU truly as hard as they say, with the GPA deflation, crazy hard classes, etc.?

-thanks!

I’m a liberal, northerner, who is middle-class, and not in a fraternity. I am an elitist though. Wake Forest isn’t impossible or crazy hard. Other colleges are just easier and have inflation. Wake Forest is how it should be.

Terminus, as the mom of an Asian junior at Wake, I have nothing but good things to say. The college experience is what you make of it. He has been very happy there, has friends from all over the country and has had the opportunity for fantastic internships, leadership and activities. If the school feels right for you, go for it. You will work very hard and get a great education.
