I know that economics varies from school to school in how much actual math is involved, but what is the case with Wake Forest. While I have been intrigued in Economics by several books, I'm not sure if it is for me since math is not really my bag (only a 640 M and no Calc in high school). If anyone has any insight I'd appreciate it!

willmingtonwave- I was looking around Wake's site and found this link:

Hope that helps.

Thank you wdlan88 :)

whoa...dude...i got a 640 on math too...no calc in high school...

and Economics is like my passion...but i'm too scared about the math to major in it...

i didn't actually apply to wake, but thats pretty crazy stuff...

I have several friends who are economics majors. From what I hear, you don't have to be good at upper level math to be an econ major. You just need to know your basic math and if anything else they will teach you how to do it. There is a theoretical approach to econ and a mathematical approach that attempts to prove the theoretical side of econ. It is one of the easier majors at Wake to finish because there aren't that many courses. From what I hear, econ is the second highest paying major outside of the buisness school.
