@Ibul0404 good point. I assumed the email went out to the people who’s applications exceeded the normal time frame because I never received an email. However, the delay email could correlate with acceptances. What does everyone else think?
I didn’t get the email, but I also only had to wait about four weeks
I got the email and have not yet received an admissions decision. I applied on July 16th and had all green checks the same day.
my daughter applied around July 1 and got the email last Wednesday regarding the wait. On Friday she had an update in her portal that she was accepted to the class of 2025. She has a 4.5 weighted GPA, 1480 Sat for her first time (others all cancelled), and has a lot of extra curricular along with being editor in chief of her school newspaper. I wish you all the best of luck in your college search!
Curious if they’re going in alphabetical order or some other method instead of a true rolling basis with the COVID delays. Our daughter’s application has been in for over 9 weeks. We got the email regarding the delay on Wednesday. She has really good stats (4.5 GPA, top ten in her class, 34 ACT, lots of extra curricular activities), and we have not gotten any response yet.
@JJDX1980 I don’t believe this is the case I have seen people with last names towards the end of the alphabet accepted yesterday. In my opinion, it is more likely a regional thing based on other colleges patterns on rolling decision and from my very limited knowledge of the acceptances sent yesterday a majority of the kids accepted yesterday were from FL. Best of luck to your daughter though!
Hi! Has anyone else heard back that didn’t hear on Friday? Do you guys think they are sending out acceptances on a regional basis?
@eSDCA20 I’d like to think it’s regional. We still haven’t heard anything. I know on their website it has different territories listed for different admissions counselors. I’m assuming that means that they are responsible working with prospective students and for the processing the applications from those areas. I’m not 100 percent sure though. Just keeping fingers crossed and hoping for a response soon.
Does anyone know if decisions are only released on Fridays? Also, I think it is regional because I submitted 6 weeks ago and have not received an admissions decision.
@Ecrollins I would assume they do not just release decisions only on Fridays. I have seen people who have already heard back even though their application had only been submitted for 3 weeks so I am guessing it is regional. Maybe the people who were accepted could comment where they are from and we might get a better idea.
We saw through social media Friday that some from near by local N.C. high schools received acceptances and we have not heard back so that makes us think it’s not regional and also makes us more anxious for sure !!!
From everything I have read from past ED Wake Forest threads in addition to speaking to others, it sounds like Friday is most popular day to hear AND people hear sometimes other days of the week-esp. Wednesday. I am pretty sure it is not solely regional based from people I know that are waiting. All of the posts are appreciated…kind of fun to try and figure out the puzzle.
@lbul0404 Was that from the Western or Eastern side of NC? Pretty sure there are two separate admissions counselors for each. I am INCREDIBLY nervous at the moment.
Northwest … incredibly nervous here too!
hopefully some people will hear either tmrw or Friday!!
Hi! Did anyone hear back today??
We haven’t gotten a response today.
Still no updates today. Nervous and frustrated for sure. It has been almost 11 weeks.
@JJDX1980 is it 11 weeks from everything green in the portal or 11 from submission? If submission how many weeks is it from everything in for you? Just asking because I think I may have a similar timeline as you from submission. Also, the emails last Friday went out around 9:30 PM EST so today isn’t over yet.
I have not gotten an update yet, but it seems like most updates are released around 8pm.
