Do you guys know when Wake Forest sends out notices about merit aid/scholarship? Do they come with financial aid decisions or with your acceptance? I was recently admitted for class of 2015 (FREHSMAN YEAHHH) and I was wondering if anyone got any sort of aid. Thanks!

bump!!? BUMP BUMP BUmp

My letter said mid-April.

It said mid-April for financial aid. Does this include Merit as well?

I called twice to make sure I was getting the same answer both time…BOTH people said that Merit was NOT sent with accept. letters, but would be determined on or by? April 1st and mailed separately from Fin Aid.
Fin aid sent Mid-April…why or why does it take them so long?? Applied to 12 and WF will be the LAST to let us know! WF is making me crazy!

Spoke to them this morning…said letters with both need and merit money were sent earlier this week…

I recieved mine today in PA! [Absolutely no aid, as expected, unfortunately.]

Out of 9 schools that my daughter was admitted to, Wake offered the weakest fin. aid pakcage. We do not live in NC, and most of their money goes to locals. UNC has a rep. for that as well, but we got a much better package from UNC Chapel Hill. Andd MUCH better package from Notre Dame. Wake was out first choice, now it’s the LAST!

Agreed, I’m from Texas and their aid is pretty weak compared to others (although I didn’t get as much as I wanted either). I really love the sense of community at Wake and the curriculum. It is going to cost me more than 40 grand per year, and perhaps more in the future because I will be only one attending college in our family and other issues. I’m really bummed that I will have to pass to Wake although I got accepted due to financial issues. I just don’t know if I apply as a graduate school I would think Demon Decon as the same. Anyone got a good aid? Merit or Financial?

S received great merit aid from Wake.

S got good FA package from Wake but not good enough for him to attend. Offer letter was not clear what was merit aid and what was need based. The offer was nearly identical as the one he got from Richmond.

I’m glad, and happy for your sons. I wish them well at Wake!
