<p>Where should I go? I got into Wake Forest and University of Maryland College Park (Top 2 Choices) and recieved some money from Wake, but it is still almost $15k more than UMD. I like both very much but can't decide which to choose since Wake has a better overall ranking/better prestige and Maryland is a much better deal financially.</p>
<p>They’re pretty dfferent schools. What do you want to major in? Do you want a huge student body or a smaller one? More diverse student body? Btw the difference in prestige isn’t that much where it’s how you should make your decision</p>
<p>Well I’m still not so sure what I want to major in so thats kinda causing me problems. I’m leaning towards Maryland because of how many different majors they have for when I do decide. I like the small class sizes of Wake but at UMD there are more opportunities and from what I’ve been told the classes are only huge while your in general education classes. Diversity isn’t a huge thing for me either way although I do realize there is much more at UMD.</p>
<p>Having a bunch of major options isn’t going to help you out. People who start out not having an idea of what they plan to major in don’t end up choosing rare/specific ones aka majors that won’t be available at Wake. If you do have some general ideas of majors, make sure they’re good at both schools though.</p>

<p>well one of my interests is environmental science and whatnot and wake does not have a major for that, i believe, so it would limit my options which is what i meant by having more options at umd. If all other factors are put aside is wakes level of school worth 15k more than maryland?</p>
<p>Is your family able to cover the extra 60K for WFU ?</p>
