Wake forest transfer process review

I recently transferred to Wake Forest and wanted to share my experience. I had left a top liberal arts college because I didn’t like the environment, food, housing quality and essentially all the time I spent there. I was accepted as a transfer to Wake Forest, Boston University, Tufts, and Vanderbilt. I chose wake over vanderbilt in the end because wake treats their transfers fairly like all other students in guaranteeing housing and registration. This was unfortunately not the case at most other schools where on campus housing is not guaranteed etc.

I had not even stepped on campus before committing to wake and it was the best decision I ever made. Making friends was really easy even during pandemic times because almost everyone I met was friendly and welcoming. The school worked really hard to keep us all safe and continue school the entire semester on campus! We were able to socialize and all food on campus was available. Even the gyms and other activities like rock climbing and most club sports were able to function. Honestly, the food is pretty good for a college campus too.

I couldn’t be any happier with the choice I made. There’s positive school spirit, the academics are great, and administration is extremely helpful with the transfer process (transferring classes and registering for next semester). The application is long but entirely worth it!

Hi! I have applied as a transfer student for Fall 2021 for Bio with minor in Neuro with the hopes to be accepted into the EAP program. Do you recall approx when you received your decision? I know it says Mid-May but curious if they came out any earlier for you.
I’m a non traditional student and when I was reviewing some items with admissions and financial aid they apologized to me for the aid application taking a while (because I’m 43 and I don’t rely on parental income and the CSS profile doesn’t quite align with us older students) and they made the comment to me that they were sorry as they don’t work with many non traditional students. Of course my overactive brain thinks that is not a good sign but who knows!
Thanks for any info you can provide!
