Wake Forest University REGULAR DECISION Class of 2020

@mkm1225. Last year it seems most decisions were arriving about March 27th, but depends on speed of postal service in different locations.

Would be interested to hear if anyone knows if this year will vary from last year.

My daughter’s letter was mailed March 21 in 2013, so that timeline is accurate.

Does anybody have any idea as to when the regular decisions will begin to come back?

I’m pretty sure they’ll go out by Wednesday of next week, just based on years past. The sooner the better!

If you’ll follow the Wake Forest Admissions twitter account you’ll know when they go in the mail. They always post a picture of the decisions being loaded into the mail truck.

Good luck everyone!

haven’t received any email from them in a long time is that normal, last was early February to do financial aid paperwork–

Does anyone know when admission decisions will be mailed?

Does no one ever look at previous posts anymore?..

Someone’s getting a little fiesty XD

@Chopinspiano calm down haha

Nah I’m calm lol. I’ve just been noticing this in a few threads lol. People ask questions when someone else has answered it two or so posts up. It’s just funny to me about how anxious we are.

Anybody know if packages are sent with UPS? I’m wondering if we can use the WashU method to get decisions a tad early…

At the risk of asking a question already answered, what is the WashU method @ImporTan ?

@HRSMom Good question. A week or two ago, the day Washington University was gonna release their decisions, applicants who were accepted could use MyUPS accounts to see that they had a 1lb package coming through 2-day shipping in the mail. Applicants who were denied or Waitlisted (me) had nothing on their MyUPS account. So if Wake Forest uses UPS to send acceptance packages, we may learn our fate a day or two early.

@ImporTan They use USPS.

And they said this morning that letters would be MAILED within the next ten days. Haven’t we waited long enough?

From the Wake Forest Admissions Blog dated today…

"With a little bit of luck and a lot of hard work, the Admissions Committee should release decision letters this week in time to reach everyone (we hope!) by April 1. We received almost 14,000 applications from students seeking a place in the class of 2020, a 5% increase from our record high submitted last year. Needless to say, we’ll be doing a good bit of business with the US Postal Service this week!

We will update everyone here and via Twitter when letters have left the building. A reminder – we do not release decisions over the phone and you will not be able to view your decision on your Window to Wake Forest account page. Students with US mailing addresses will receive their decision via mail from the USPS. Students residing outside of the United States should check their email for decision information. If April 1 comes and goes and you have not received a decision from us, please reach out.

We know that so many of you are waiting on pins and needles for your letters and we truly appreciate your sincere interest in attending Wake Forest. We’ll be in touch soon!"

Can someone write a step by step process on how to use the WashU method? I am pretty eager to check if I got accepted or not :((((

I definitely will not get in with 14,000 applicants :frowning:

Do you think that they will keep their 35% acceptance rate allowing for a larger freshmen class of just stick to having it 1000 kids and therefore lowering their acceptance rate?
