My student has gotten into all of the above. May want pre-med trying to figure out best school. This student loves attending games and will be very involved in campus life. Any suggestions in which school may be best?? A scholarship was offered at HC.
These are all fine colleges.
Where does the student want to go? If finances are not a consideration, let the student choose.
She can be a pre-med major at just about any college.
Has he visited any of them? WF and HC have extremely different educational environments. Not sure that I see a connection or a kid really liking both.
Attending games and active campus life is very much Wake Forest. It’s a big family. I think a lot has to do with the required three year residential living on campus. Because there are no residential greek houses, even the greeks live in the dorms with everyone else (they get their own section or floor but no one is secluded away at a “frat house”). Tons of school spirit and many events that draw a large percentage of the student body (not just sports but charitable fundraising events and philanthropic activities.)
Congrats! I am a Lehigh alumna who visited Wake Forest this summer. Wake reminded me a lot of Lehigh, which I loved. My son is also looking at both schools, though he needs to up his game to get in. I would look carefully at the avg GPAs at each school in the sciences and also inquire about how many incoming freshmen make it through to apply to med school. Good luck and congrats!
