So I got into wake and umich and pretty sure il get into Richmond.....visited them all and liked them but never had that "aha"moment....I also have concerns about all of them...
Mich: that it's too big and I will be overwhelmed..
Wake:that's it's too blonde and preppy and I will be ostracized cause I'm only mildly preppy....and am not a tall blonde model....
Richmond:that it's a bubble and has a kind of quiet/sleepy campus

Most of these concerns come from the Reviews I have read....if any one could shed some light on any of these schools I'd really appreciate it!

Have you actually visited any of these schools? Forming opinions based on reviews is not ideal. You have some considerable variations in size and location. Wake and Richmond would be more similar - although Wake is a little bigger. Both are beautiful campuses - strong academics - sports are important - perhaps leaning a little conservative - somewhat Greek and preppy. Michigan is very different - huge school by comparison - cold, gray winters. Very large campus to navigate - freshmen often live on North campus. Great school spirit and very large alumni network.

These are all expensive schools - are you full pay? Did you apply for financial aid? What major are you considering? Where do you live now - are these schools close to home or far away?

They are full pay but I’m reasonably well off so money is not a main concern.I’m from new jersey but am ok with being far away…I have visited all of them and liked them…but I didn’t get a vibe of the people just from my tour guides…I’m looking to major in psychology perhaps and I know Michigan has a good program for that but i really am not ready to dismiss wake and Richmond even though they have gotten the most mixed reviews

My girlfriend goes to Wake and is not a tall blonde model and none of her friends are. The same can be said with two good friends from high school. They all love Wake.

Michigan has one of the top psychology programs in the country. If you are from New Jersey you will have no trouble fitting in at Michigan. The study body is large but the campus is easy to navigate and the school is not overwhelming if you are bright and are willing to assert yourself. The weather is comparable to New Jersey.
