@Cayton
haha thank you that’s very nice of you, I hope they feel the same way haha I hope you get into your dream school. I think you have an awesome chance! :)

@ucastell

Thanks. Good luck to us all!

UC GPA: 3.34. Major GPA: 3.61
Major: Biological Sciences
Major prep: 3 prereqs missing (Ochem series) Will complete physics 2 this summer.
PS: 7/10
Applied:
UCD
UCSB
UCSC
UCR

Seems borderline for Davis and Santa Barbara. Probably okay for Santa Cruz and Riverside.

GPA: 3.92
EC: 8 or 9 /10 Directly related to my major.
PS: 8 or 9 /10 Very well written, but not terribly exciting.

All of my pre-reqs for each major are done.

UC Berkeley - Bus. Admin
UC Los Angeles - Bus. Econ
UC San Diego - Econ
UC Santa Barbara - Econ

@Ragnarok635 -

UCD - 35/65 Major prep is really important and taking some of it in summer for your major doesn’t look good, plus your GPA is a little low for you major.
UCSB - 45/55 same as above
UCR - 70/30
UCSC - 90/10

@Gunnnn -

UCB - 75/25 (unless your’e PS is about adversity, hardships, diversity etc…Bus Admin is very competitive there)
UCLA - Bus. Econ Avg. admitted 3.93 you’re a point low but I’d say 90/10 you get in
UCSD - 100%
UCSB - 100%

@Ucastell -

Yeah the PS and life circumstances definitely aren’t everything, GPA is still extremely important, and I tried, so we’ll see I always say expect the worst but hope for the best.

And You’re Golden everywhere you applied

Since everyone already had their stats predicted

GPA: 3.42
EC: 1/10
PS: 7/10
Igetc: done
major: computer science

UCI- MP: 4/5 TAGd
UCSD- MP: missing 2 physics and a math
CPP- MP: missing physics set (3) and a math
SDSU- MP: missing 2

I’m assuming you guys are all making these predictions based on the averages of the stats in last year’s acceptance threads…?

@smltk1505h -

Yes, along with personal experience (ex: a friend or family member who got ins stats), stats by major (UCLA) and sometimes just intuition based on what each individual campus looks for in its applicants and/or admissions process for their campus.

And we can all come back in March/April and see which predictions were right and it will help next year’s applicants.

@jn26083 -

UCI - 100/0 (Because of TAG and PS quality)
UCSD - 20/80
CPP - 40/60
SDSU - 45/55

Ehhh ok… why not. Seems like everyone else got theirs “predicted”.

Political science

UCI (TAG): complete, for the most part?
UCD: complete
UCLA (yeah, long shot): 4/5

School applied: UCB, UCLA, UCSD(TAG), UCI, UCSB, UCD, and UCR

@awevicsum

I think you’re in at every UC you applied to. Your application is near-perfect.

Hi everybody! Best of luck this year with transferring!

Political Science (UC - UC Transfer)
Cumulative GPA- 3.91
Major GPA- 3.92
Decent EC’s & Personal Statements
UC Reciprocity Completed

UCLA- Prereq’s done by end of Spring
Cal- 2/3 done

Thanks!

Hello everyone! Good luck for your UC application this year:)

UC GPA: 4.0 Major GPA: 4.0 Cumulative GPA - 4.0
Major: Economics (CC - UC Transfer)
Major prep: Completed (except UCLA, will finish by Winter Quarter (current quarter))
IGETC: will complete by Winter Quarter (current quarter)
PS: 8/10
EC: 8-9/10

Applied:
UCB - Political Economy
UCLA - Business Economics
UCSD - Economics
UCD - Economics
UCI - Business Administration

Wait really? I thought 3.3 was pretty good for Davis, even for Bio Sci? People get in with 3.0s all the time, plus UCD has the highest rate of transfer (59.1% or something like that) for any UC based on statistics. Also UCD looks at major GPA for selective majors, shouldn’t a 3.6 look good?

Or is the missing pre-reqs that are damaging to me?

If it helps, I have an upward trend and my fall semester was 4.0.

This looks like fun!
GPA: 3.79
Major: Electrical Engineering

Classes I took this Fall:
Calc 2: B
Hist: A
Micro Econ: A
Macro Econ: A
Physics 2: A
Gen Chem 1: A
Computer Science ASM: A

27 Units total for Fall 2013, around 60 total so far.

I also have two other Bs, one in Calc 1 and Phys 1.

Projected Classes for Spring:
Calc 3
Differential equations & Linear Algebra
Circuit Analysis
Physics 3

I am a full time worker, I have an Electrical Engineering internship, I am Hispanic, First generation and low income. Had a rough past.

Would appreciate any input.

Applied:
UCLA :)!
UCB
UCSD
UCSB

@UCLABounded

Berkeley - Engineering transfer, especially EE, is really a crapshoot. I’d say 35/65
UCLA - 70/30, pretty good chance considering you will have all prereqs done (I’ve heard that is what they really focus on along with GPA).
UCSD - 100/0
UCSB - 85/15, only because I know that UCSB engineering is really damn impacted.

GPA: 3.84
Major: Econ (Biz Econ for UCLA with TAP alternate major as Math/Econ)
This fall I took:
Honors Intro to PoliSci: A
Accounting 2: A
Honors MacroEcon: A
Intro Chem: A
Adv Weightlifting (lol): A

Next Semester I will be taking:
Calc III
Linear Algebra
History of Dance for IGETC
College Golf

PS: 7/10, I didn’t spend much time on it but it gets the point across.
EC: 8/10
IGETC: I’ll be done completely at the end of Spring.
Major Prep: Done, only weakness is a C in Calc II hopefully they will see I am taking Calc III and LA to “redeem” myself.

@CSB111

UCLA: I’d say 90/10, but I don’t think you’ll get bizecon because its ridiculously impacted at UCLA…

^I agree. I think you’ll get in to UCLA, just probably not under BizEcon.
