Want to be an Actuary - Penn or Wharton?

I want to become an actuary in the future...and i also want to go to upenn..
It would be beneficial for me to go to wharton because wharton has an actual actuarial science program....
however, we all know that wharton is more selective....and hence i have a greater chance of getting into penn than wharton...
technically, i could just go to the general college and major in statistics or econ and still be an actuary...
however, idk if this would be more difficult in my path of becoming an actuary...it's probably reasonable to say that a real actuarial science program would be more beneficial...

has anyone ever actual taken either of these paths and have a recommendation?
even if you haven't...what would you suggest?
should i take the risk and apply ED to wharton? or...ED to the general college?

Actuarial science is part of the Insurance and Risk Management Department at Wharton, so you could get an actuarial science concentration if you are a wharton undergrad. However, it also seems like you could be a math major in CAS and get a minor in actuarial science as well.
[Undergraduate Program - The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania](http://insr.wharton.upenn.edu/programs/undergrad_program.cfm)

So i would say apply to CAS if you want to have more of a math focused course load overall, and apply to wharton if you want to take more finance focused classes with the actuary concentration.
