Want to improve scores

I took the ACT in April and got a 26.(E:25 M:27 S:26 R:26) What should I do to improve my scores? I just want between a 28 and 30, not an extravagant 36.

Bump any thoughts?

The more time/energy committed, the better. That seems a little obvious but there really isn’t a “trick” to it besides getting used to the time limit. Just do lots (and I mean LOTS) of practice tests. The first practice test I ever did I got a 24 composite; after (I’m thinking) 18 practice tests throughout the year I got up to a 31 on the real deal.

Wow alright thanks. What book or books did you use?

oops my last post said 18 lol i meant 8! big difference there, haha.

i used the real act prep guide (the red one). those practice tests were very good but i think there’s only like two… and I got the princeton review one which had a lot more I remember. Then I got these individual books that kaplan makes for each subject but only for math/science because those were my weakest.

I think the hardest part is staying alert and “there” throughout the whole time, each section gets more draining than the next. That’s why I really reccomend sticking to the time limits while practicing and trying to give yourself the most realistic test-taking environment as possible.

Haha yeah 8 and 18 is a difference. And sweet I have both books thanks for the advice!!
