Need to improve....

Hey guys,
I took the Act cold back in April and got a 28.
I plan on taking it Sept. 15
So do you guys think that if I prep hard over the summer its possible to raise my score up to a 32 or a 33?

Also, what books, except the Real Act, would you suggest that have many good practice tests in them that could ultimately help me boost my score up 5 points?

Well, I haven't taken the ACTs yet myself, I'm going to be a junior this year but I'm studying for ACTs this summer because I also want a 33. I read some posts and it seems like The Real Act, Barrons, Princeton and Kaplan are the best choices. But it seems like most ppl say Barrons overkills, but I think that's a good thing because the harder your questions the more likely you'll get the easy ones right I tihnk. So I would get Barrons and do MANY PRACTICE tests. Try all types, internet, cds, etc. Ask friends about things you are unsure of. And remember, if you really wanna do it, you can ^^

Good luck!!!

My sister got a 21 on her first try, a 25 on the second, and a 28 on the third..so yes it is very possible! There was a looot of studying involved though! Practice tests are the way to go, and focus on the areas you need to improve in.

The first time I took it (Feb) I got a 29, then in June I got a 33. For the Feb. test, I just did the ACT online prep that our school payed for. It had 2 practice tests. Then for the June test I did the 3 practice tests the 3 days leading up to the Saturday.

HUmp de bump
