Actually, I’ll have to disagree a little with the first few posters. Diet is definitely the main thing influencing your weight (ditch the non-water drinks, salt, sugar, and white carbs, etc.), but if OP has unsatisfactory belly weight, it’s probably the exercise deficiency that’s leading to the bad eating.

I always start feeling flabby and gross in the winter, and while I’m not suddenly gorging like crazy, I stop swimming (heh. cold.), all the ECs are at their peak (less sleep), and that makes me take maybe just a few extra bites at dinner, maybe one more sugary snack a week, etc. It kind of creeps up on you, and before you know it, your face looks uncomfortably bigger.

Right now I’m trying what Mascara is doing and running, around 2-5 miles (depending on my mood and schedule) each day with no excuses (except rain lol). Seriously, if you have enough energy from sleep and moderate exercise, your body shouldn’t be craving all that food anyway.

RE the earlier advice here, “Eat whole grains.” This is why vegans actually have problems with weight. DON’T “Eat whole grains”! Tread wheat like POISON!! You need to read two books: “Wheat Belly” and “Why We Get Fat.” If you read those two books, you will get the point quickly and, if you follow what they say, the weight will take care of itself. Really. Just . . . don’t . . . eat . . . wheat.

i mean, some people are look overweight and are healthy and there are others who are really skinny, but not healthy at all

i think that you should start running! join your cross-country team. i suck at running, but when you’re with a group, it’s just so much easier and you start to look forward to working out. which is a really big problem for some people, since work outs can get boring when it’s just you.

My husband had excellent results with The Belly Fat Diet by Jorge Cruise. A trainer we know also said belly fat occurs in the kitchen. As in it’s the food you eat, not the lack of sit ups or crunches. Good luck- the belly is the bane of mid life!

It’s so hard to give advice online which correlates directly to your needs. Belly fat is quite volatile as in your ability to lose/gain it varies a great deal between people. Also your ability to have abs varies between people.
