I attended a JC from 2010-2014 and then apply to a CSU. I got into that CSU and went there for two years. Things didn’t work out. (I am still in good standing with that school) and I dropped out.
I am still able to get into another CSU as an upper division transfer right? The transferable credits I earned back in 2010-2014 when I was in a JC still can be use in another CSU right?
Yes. Your credits don’t “expire”.
What is with the quotation marks. Is there a hidden meaning, heh?
So Do you think I will be able to get into another CSU if I already attended a CSU before? That won’t disqualify me right?
The quotation marks, in this instance, denote a lack of a better word.
If you meet the entrance requirements of the CSU campus of your choice, you should have no problem getting admitted and transferring MOST of your credits. I say “most” because sometimes policies change, and so do graduation requirements. What may have met certain requirements in 2012 may not in 2018. But you need to contact CSU to get the full scoop.
Good luck – lots of people successfully complete their education after taking a break. No reason you can’t be one of them!
Thanks @katliamom I am glad I have a chance at going to another CSU.
It is possible to transfer from one CSU to another. And your JC credits won’t have “expired” if you took them as recently as 2010-2014. But it’s possible you may have a bit of difficulty getting into another CSU if you have a ton of credits behind you. You may want to reach out to admissions at the CSUs that you like, to talk over your situation with them and see how things stand there.
@RoaringMice
Only if those credits are transferable right? CSU don’t typically transfer credit from one another.
