Good chances for UC’s with a slightly better SAT score. But the privates need a lot more than 1980. Getting into Cornell, Carnegie mellon, Stanford and Uchicago is very difficult.

Advice : Improve your SAT or else not you will not stand a chance!

Good Luck!!!

Yep like hoping said definitely get that SAT up! Good ECs. :)

Ohh, really? I’d be happy if I just got in LA haha. My SAT improved from 1760 to the one posted. Im taking last time in December D:

Anyone else?

Bumppppppp~.

Bumppppppp~.

I’d say with that SAT, you look good for UCSD. Other than that, those schools want higher scores.

Your best bet is if you actually score a 33 on the ACT.

UCBerkeley: High match (at 1980)/Match (at 33)

UCLA: High match (at 1980)/Match (at 33)

UCSD: Match (at 1980)/Low match (at 33)

USC: Reach (at 1980)/Match (at 33)

Rice University: Reach

Duke University: Reach

Cornell University: Reach

Carnegie Mellon University: Reach (at 1980)/High match (at 33)

University of Chicago: Reach (pay attention to your essays)

Stanford: Reach

You have a good chance at Berkeley, UCLA, UCSD and USC.

UC’s sound good. I can’t really say on the rest.

A more definitive answer on ACT score would help because thats a massive range

Thanks guys! I’m planning to take the December SAT & ACT and Subject i’m retaking Math II and taking Literature. So hopefully I do well on those haha : )
My essays are going to be decent, I believe. Anyone else have opinions?

Bump, I will chance back if you want!

You have no safety privates? Maybe you want to add Boston College, BU, Chapman, Pepperdine.

BC: Reach
BU: Safety
Chapman: Low match
Pepperdine: Match

@Krlilies, I haven’t really thought of that; are there any other good privates in California? I only had UCI down as a safety because of ELC and maybe Cal State Pomona. I live in Orange and went to Chapman University on a field trip, it’s not very nice there and can’t picture myself LOL.

Just really hoping I can really pull it off and get into one of these colleges. Last year my school got around 13-16 accepted into Berkeley and/or LA

@Catria, thanks again!

Pomona College, Claremont McKenna College and Harvey Mudd are all top 20 national LACs.

Why Cal State Pomona as safety? Why not Cal State Long Beach?

Oh I meant Poly oops hahha. I’m not as interested in attending a Cal State as much but I will apply in case. Ohh and the Young Senator Honor listed guarantees me admission to CSUF if that matters

With your stats you will excel in any of the Cal States. CSUF has an excellent business program, SLO excellent architecture and engineering programs. I’m not sure about about their poli sci dept.
