[!!!] Wanting To Apply To Ivy League Schools With This Set Of Assets

I am an entering 11th grade student in high school and am looking to shoot for ivy league schools. I am unsure that what I have accomplished in high school will make me an adequate applicant that will be considered.

  • i am an art student, I have won a scholastic award and several school awards for my pieces
  • i have a gpa ranging from 3.71 to 4.00
  • i have a weighted gpa ranging from 4.67 to 4.95
  • i am in the national arts honors society and drama club for 2 years
  • i also volunteer often at daycares and nursing homes and nature centers
  • my standardized test scores are unidentified as of right now but i am studying
  • the only ap class i've been able to take so far has been ap government and i received a 3 on the ap exam

I feel as if since my scores and accomplishments does not make me any match for other students applying for ivy league schools since i do not participate in any sports and common extracurriculars, I am also fairly lshy and am not close to many teachers so getting good recommendations will be difficult. I am kind of a silent helper. Is perfection and maximum achievement necessary to make it into these ivy league schools? I am asking for advice. Thank you !!

That’s a pretty big GPA range (3.71 to 4).
It’s ok if you’ve been shy your first two years. Start junior year and be close to your junior year teachers (people who you’ll be asking for a rec).
Doesn’t matter if you do common EC’s or not. As long as you have an impact within your school or your community doing that EC, or have achieved some recognition, then you’re good.

You only took 1 AP class. Is that normal for your school?

As of now, too early to tell. You still have a whole year to do EC’s, get test scores, improve grades etc.

You need standardized test scores before anyone can chance you.

underclassmen are only allowed 1 ap class per year at my school; i occasionally get 1 or 2 B+'s during some quarters but semester gpa’s are from 3.85 to 4.00
