I’m currently a HS senior, and I have been accepted into SFSU, but rejected from UW. UW was my first choice, but I have decided to attend SFSU in the hopes of transferring to UW as soon as I fulfill all of the prerequisites outlined in UW’s Computer Science program. I applied for SFSU’s film major, but I am also planning on changing my major to Comp Sci there as soon as I can. UW’s Comp Sci program also includes animation, and I personally think that it would be best for me to be able to get a major in Comp Sci, while also taking courses that will further what I’m really interested in, animation and game design.
What are my chances of being admitted as a transfer at UW, assuming that I maintain at least a 3.5 GPA or higher at SFSU, and what can I do to improve my chances of getting in?
