How are they? The buildings are quite old, but does the school try to keep it renovated and clean? The restrooms? How big are the rooms? How do study lounges look? I’d just like to know everything possible about Warren Towers.

This link has quite a bit of info on Warren Towers. Boston University | Student Union | Warren Towers

The rooms are ridiculously small, kind of like prison cells but its a good freshman experience dorm. Most doors will be open and you'll meet a lot of people. I think its definitely the best dorm to be in as a frehsman. Its relatively clean, pretty much as clean as you can get for a dorm.

ud2006 - that's what I've heard most of the time; rooms are like "prison cells."

Overall, what do you think of the facilities? I've checked out the GALLERIA section of Warren Towers in the Student Union site, but they look old (site last update is 2003). The study lounge and game rooms look bit depressing. Are they any different now, or upgraded?

Warren is absolutely great for freshman. I lived there my first year and wouldn't have had it any other way. I have visited schools that had smaller rooms. Trust me, it isn't too bad. Honestly, the longer you live in it and the neater you keep the room, the bigger it will seem.

The game room is fine. Has two pool tables that people play on quite frequently. We had some fun tournaments, eating some crappy food and listening to music in there. Study room is a study room. Doesn't need to be fancy or aesthetic. It has lots of tables and lots of chairs. Plus, the entire dining hall is one big study room for most of the night.

You have access to pretty much anything you could possibly need. There is a Campus Convenience store right downstairs, the dining hall is in the building, bank of america is right outside. Plus it is in the center of east campus, so there isn't much of a commute to any place on campus besides West. Warren was a great experience. Don't worry. You will make so many friends be glad you lived there.

I stayed at Warren Towers over the summer-- the dorm rooms are tiny, but no smaller than the rooms at other schools. Everything was pretty clean and well-maintained. The elevators were a bit slow and frightening though...
Overall the facilities are pretty nice and conducive to a good social atmosphere.

yeah I was just gonna say I disagree about the rooms being small. I mean they're not great but you will be hard pressed to find freshman dorms that are much bigger if there are some. and yeah as far as a convenience goes, you can't beat it.

Thanks for the link! The rooms look decent for the most part...the apartments with great views look awesome.

FORGET WARREN TOWERS!! Choose west as your first choice. In all honesty everyone will tell you that west is the ultimate freshman experience. You settle for Warren, you dont choose it. West has the best dining hall on campus, the fitrec, the arena, nickerson field, your closer to all the freshman parties and best of all it has the only true "campus feel" over anywhere else on campus. Even if you have to take a long trip to class, west is absolutely worth it.

heh "freshman parties" kind of an oxymoron since all freshman live on campus and BU's policies are cut-throat. but yeah I guess there is a little bit more of a campus feel but I chose BU because I like the city. as far as walking to class I guess it's not THAT bad but I would not want to walk to even ONE 8AM class in the freezing cold let alone all my classes which start at 8

west campus and main campus are like two different words, west campus is so separated from the rest of the school. its really good if you're in cgs i guess because you'll be so close to class, but its really nice to live 2 seconds from class so you can go nap in between classes or do work. the rooms are small but you will get to know so many people because warren is basically all freshman. and like someone else said, campco is right on the bottom and the dining hall is pretty good, along with taco bell and this sandwhich place on the bottom also. true, west has a 'campus feel' because its right next to the fields and everything but most people i know hate being so far from class.
