Was December math supposed to be really easy?

My friend was constantly saying that the math section was so easy that he expects a 700+ for sure. He only omitted 2 but was very confident that he got everything else right unless he fell into those ever so common SAT Math traps. He said that reading was extremely hard(omitted 13), but other than that, he expects to see math very high. Is this true? I told him of the harsh curve if it's easy, but if he only ommited 2 and gets 1-2 wrong, he should get a 700 and it looks like I missed out on this test because I was considering December but my parents wanted me to do January so that I could have more time to prepare.

the sat math can be misleading. ive gotten high 600s each time. my first time i was expecting mid/high 700s but i made dumb mistakes. the second time i knew i screwed up when i came out. this time i think i missed only 2 or 3

dude, he got trapped
1st time I took the test
I thought I completely PWNED the math.
I got 700 b/c I made a few careless mistakes (bubbling the wrong bubble)
(I bought QAS)

I dont think it was supposed to be easy, but it just was. I honestly think I got a 770-800. I answered every question and recognized every trap, unless ofcourse there were double traps, oh my! lol

A B C D E F are equally spaced apart. Where should a point X be placed so that XF is twice as long as AX. or was it AX was twice as XF.
i put BC any thoughts.

It was between DE, since they wanted ax to be twice as long as xf.

Can someone explain how you can omit 13 problems? He couldn’t eliminate ONE on any of them??!

I thought the Nov. math was really easy and expected 780-800. I made some careless mistakes and scored 690 so you never know.

yeah, the curves seem to vary a lot. i missed 9 and got a 660 in june, and then i missed 5 and got a 680 in oct.

Andreaaaaaa, I missed 5 and got a 680 in October also(I was tired, because I went to a concert the night before). And in May I missed 8 and got a 670. I wish we’d have the same curve as last May.

yeah, i was kind of suprised to get 680 after missing five. i was expecting my score to be in the 700s.

i missed 2 in Oct and got a 750. I think if you miss a hard question, it’ll be less deduction than the easy one. I missed 2 medium by the way. This Dec Sat I missed 3, maybe more but i don’t know :frowning: Math is super easy but the problem is how to get a perfect score.

I put DE too which was like second last one rite

I really hate SAT math… Ima take my 1st SAT in January, but I’m worried. I’m in AP Calc, and I thought that SAT I Math was EASY. I took 6 mock tests. I only passed over 700 twice. Those freggin tricks and traps are so pointless, since it doesnt test your mathematical skills.

It’s not a math skills test. It’s a reasoning test. The point is to really find out how well you can sort through the bull***** and apply simple math to a situation.
