I've gotten 2 letters in the mail telling me to mail in additional info regarding financial aid. An award year and Fordham ID number was listed in the letter. Surely they won't ask for additional material that will grant students money and ultimately not accept them in the end... will they?

I don’t think the school would spend time on someone they were unsure would be admitted.

Thanks!! I’m really looking forward to see the decision soon. Hopefully it’s an acceptance like you said.

That happened last year to my daughter, and she was accepted the following week. Good luck, butterstraw321!

I got that too! Hey could you check the financial aid section of your online portal? Mine changed within the last 24 hours - I’m wondering if yours did too? Regardless, good luck!!! :)

I now have an awards tab and it lists my D’s FA “estimated award”. We haven’t even received a letter yet saying she was accepted (unless it’s in the mailbox now-I’m at work).

Did she get in???

If your daughter has a financial aid estimate, then she got in. But you should probably just call admissions and ask, to be certain. Somehow the acceptance email must have been lost in cyberspace.

Thank you. Will do that now. Yay!

I called and they said they do that with everyone and she’ll know in a week if she was admitted.
Sounds weird. Why would it say “once we have received your deposit & your financial aid package has been confirmed an ‘accept awards’ tab will display”.
My D is playing it cool until she gets an actual letter on the mail saying she was accepted.

The same exact thing happened to my dauther last year and she was also accepted a few days later. I think that somehow the fin. aid dept. and admissions office aren’t in sync or somthing because I heard stories of this happening for the last couple of years.

I was deferred EA and now mine has an “awards” tab and it lists my estimated aid. Optimistic :)

Michella-that’s what is on my D’s portal also. Good luck an hopefully we both have great news later this morning!
