Was I admitted as undeclared? Emory University

So, on the portal, it says Undeclared- College of arts and sciences.

However, I received an email from both the biology department and the psychology department.

Bio:

“Congratulations again on your acceptance to Emory University and your interest in Biology as a possible major. As Director of Undergraduate Studies for the Biology Department, I would like to welcome you to our department and provide a bit of information that you will find important as you consider Emory.”

Psych:

“Congratulations on your acceptance to Emory as a member of the class of 2020! What an exciting time for you as you look ahead to your next four years. We in Psychology are excited to welcome you to the Emory community and to our department.”

So I’m unsure as to whether I was admitted as a bio major, a psych major, or neither. Some help would be much appreciated, thanks in advance!

You probably just declare the major you want to be. No biggie.

@PurpleTitan oh, I see! Phew. Thanks so much

Seems like the two departments are just trying to entice you into majoring in those subjects.

@ucbalumnus @reppincollege1: They are trying to entice them to matriculate by appearing to give a crap (appear warm) or at least pretending to know about some of the admits. Biology and psychology do not need more majors, trust me. Psychology actually is kind of warm though it seems more challenging than usual (courses have a slant toward neuroscience and clinical psychology. I could argue many of their classes are a bit more challenging than the biology courses. A lot more thinking, reading primary literature, and writing overall and as I said, still scientific).
