Was i stupid to take AP Cs??

<p>okay so i thought Ap computer science was a interesting class so i took it right. But was it right for me to do it?? They reccomended me taking it cause i got high score in math on psat... im turning junior and i do not know anything about java or programming... </p>

<p>You’re fine. Most people have no knowledge of Java whatsoever before entering the class. It’s a learn as you go process.</p>

<p>AP Computer Science AB has been discontinued. You will be taking Computer Science A. Also, it costs money to take the AP exam at the end of the year.</p>

<p>You will be fine. I took it this year, and though I did have prior computer knowledge, I was the only one; I had a complete idiot with no self-thinking skills who still received a B+ in the class, so the learning curve is not too high.</p>

<p>If you’re good at math and have a logically oriented mind you’ll be just fine. Java is a straightforward language that most people pick up fairly quickly.</p>

<p>Is it possible to self study for AP Comp? I mean, is there a standard textbook most classes follow?</p>
