was my counselor right about recs?

<p>she told me if they request 2, you should only send TWO. (not three) i was wondering because the school i'm applying to was very specific about which teachers were allowed to write them and since she did not fall under any of them (journalism), do you think it would be okay to do an extra one? i mean, shes had me for 4 years- she knows me better than any other teacher would...but my conselor says that might be frowned upon because it will look like i'm a)overcompensating and b)not following directions.</p>
