I'm having a hard time deciding between Brown and Wash U. I could run at Wash U. but I am also interested in taking up crew. Which do you think is a better school?

Brown is the better school

Brown...........

They are equal. Wash U ranked 11th, brown 13th, close enough. Don't be fooled by an old ivy name. If you like running, go to wash u. Check out the programs and curriculum offered at both schools. There is more freedom at brown, but I think there are more educational programs at wash . Check out campuses and cities. Where you are from will make a difference also.

Brown is better. The curriculum is more flexible, the city is more picturesque, and the atmosphere is more liberal.

Furthermore, Brown treats their workers better. At least they pay all their workers a living wage.

Heh, a "more liberal" atmosphere is not a positive thing for many people, and St. Louis is a very nice city. Brown does have a more flexible curriculum though.

But I'm curious because I saw the protestors at my WashU visit -- what are the service people getting paid exactly, since you seem to know so much about it?

Well I googled a good source about the living wage thing:

However, what they are making now, which is between $8 and $10, seems more than adequate to me. Remember, these job positions require zero education. I know I would be hard pressed to find a job picking up trash that makes more than $10. And with the amount of financial aid colleges provide nowadays, it's not like people in those families will have no chance at an education.
