which school should i choose? i know its so late in the game but i can’t decide. any thoughts that you may have i would appreciate wholeheartedly! thanks
Any details on each? Financial aid, do you like the campus, major, etc. personally I’d go with WashU, mostly because it’s a much smaller school (what like, 14,000 vs 40,000?). However, if you prefer a larger school, USC is a fine choice.
Make sure you consider weather when making that decision because I know I could never leave bright and sunny California for the weather in Washington
@sunita18 Wash U is in St. Louis.
Weather should never be a consideration in anyone’s choice of college.
@cantdecide101 You are very fortunate to have been accepted to Wash U. That is a much better choice.
They’re both great options, and IMO, near academic equals.
What are you interested in? Film? Pre-Med? Any difference in FA?
Also, weather is a perfectly good reason to pick one over the other, especially if you are undecided. Weather can very much affect quality of life.
I agree with butter…college is stressful and full of new and uncomfortable things that u need to adjust to,; if weather you hate is piled onto those burdens it makes things even worse. It’s quite presumptuous to decide for someone else that things like weather or location or appearance aren’t important.
They are fairly different schools. I think finances, program, and fit are all things you should consider.
I do think weather can be a factor to consider, but I don’t think “nicer” weather is automatically a better factor. I’ve met plenty of California kids at WashU that wanted to experience four full seasons for the first time (STL winters aren’t my personal favorite, but fall and spring are really, really cool).
I did know someone who transferred from USC to WashU, and it seems she wanted a more supportive/intimate environment.
