Please help I am so torn on what to pick. I like St. Louis and all my family there so the city isn’t a deterrent of WashU. But I love LA and the weather there. Idk what to do.
What’s the cost of each?

USC is larger, gonna have more school spirit, sports, etc.
WUSTL is gonna be the opposite.
what major?
I got in for pre med but I wanna do business I think tbh. And I like how washu is smaller but the weather is just so much better in la
pre-med is typically not a major. You can major in anything - and go anywhere to do pre-med. So you can do business and be pre-med.
You can go back and forth but you have to decide.
What’s more important - small size? Maybe it’s not.
Year round better weather?
Sports / Greek?
Many times there is no wrong decision - meaning kids can be happy at multiple schools - so pick one - and move on…it’ll be great!!
If you want business though and you’re not in the B school of each, I’d look at transferring internally - how hard is it? You should research that.
Is that the ONLY thing you want from an education at USC, the weather?
I live in SoCal and it is not sunny every day. We have a LOT of cloudy and hazy days. All the locals always say we have two full months of “May Gray” and “June Gloom”, minimum. We also get hot, dry temps within 100+ degrees. No snow, but this past Winter we had about 2 months with temps in the low 40’s. We had hail and weird rain. We don’t get too many perfect days. Please check out the national weather reports on occasion and you’ll see.
Please note that USC is not in the safest area and there is lots of crime. They have worked on improving safety in the area, but you have to be really aware. USC is expensive. The lifestyle is fast.
Compared to Missouri la weather is better overall still tho ( I go to Missouri and la often so from my experience at least) And I love the energy and offerings of usc as well of course. Just the size isn’t great.
I’ve lived in Seattle (gloomy 8-9 months per year), spent summers on my grandparents’ farm outside of Springfield MO (hot and humid), and now live in the DC area (teens and 20’s for two months in the winter, then 85-100 and humid for a few months of the summer). I wouldn’t mind LA weather for a few years myself.
For which school did you get accepted for pre-med? Idk much about pre-med; I thought it was usually just a series of classes you had to take while getting your undergrad degree and then hope you get into a med school later, but I have heard of some that are direct admit like the UIC GPPA program. Could you get a business degree and still have room to take the required pre-med classes at both schools? If you really want to pursue both of these interests, maybe one school is better for this than the other?
