wash u's girls tennis team?

How is it?? I'm debating on whether i want to do just club tennis or varsity tennis. Ive played on my shcool varsity team for all four years. so i'm decent. but i'm also planning on pre-medding. would playing tennis just take up too much of my time?
thanks

YEAHHH CLASS OF 2014 :)

I was in the same boat and ultimately chose to do club tennis. I would encourage you to do the same. It’s much less work and still plenty of fun.

I am also going to wash u and i’m going to play club tennis. the classes there are apparently very hard, so i don’t want tennis to take over my life haha

Hey, I’m just wondering…
I’m on varsity Tennis at my school as well… But I never joined any club tennis etc. What is club tennis like at Wash U? What happens etc.? Is it like how it is in school or is it like just for fun playing?

I can’t answer you for sure, but club sports vary on how intense they are.

To the op, you have plenty of time to decide if you want to do varsity or club (or even intramural), but you could always just email the coach and talk to him/her directly. They probably know far better than anyone on these boards would.

dude! I had the same exact question! Thanks for asking it :]. Maybe we’ll all play tennis together at WashU! How much of a commitment is varsity tennis as opposed to club tennis at Washu?

My daughter is presently a junior, a double major, and premed. She was a singles regional champion in high school and a state medalist. Her private coach encouraged her to play for WashU and even contacted the women’s tennis coach on her behalf. My D took one look at the schedule and said, “No way!” Maybe some could do it, but she didn’t feel like she could devote that much time to a sport, especially in the spring.
She plays club tennis when she has the time, but that often takes a back seat to studying and the practices sometime conflict with her class schedule. With club tennis, you can practice as little or as often as you want. You can attend a tournament (I believe they just have one or two a semester) if you want or not. She has found more luck in finding players of like ability and setting up times to play with them.
