Yeah I live next to Uconn, so we've got Jonathan the Husky ;) Though I'm not going there...don't know where yet, but not there.

Hoo -- a friend of mine got into GWU ED, and she's really nice. I know you're more concerned with Gtown people but if you're concerned about everyone at GWU being rich and snobby, worry a bit less. From what I can tell, it seems like people might be on the wealthy side but nice. You'll have a great time.

The truth: virtually every private university in the top 50 (and probably many in 50-100) is full of its fair share of rich, affluent people; just take a gander at the average income chart for just about any Ivy League or similar school. It is also the case at state schools to a certain extent, as people who are richer tend to have better educational opportunities. Funny how that works, huh?

Hoo - GW is awesome, I guarantee you will like it. Sure, there are a lot of japs etc, but this population exists at all colleges. There are also tons of really chill people, and the education is great. GW is def getting more prestigious by the day. As for the GU vs GW thing, I don't think it's a big deal. That newspaper story was prob just some stupid drunk kids running out of things to do, ya know?

I'd like to weigh in on this subject, knowing kids at each of the schools. The schools really aren't that much alike, except for the fact that they all are great schools and have many politically-minded students.
My friend Chase was admitted to all three of the schools. He chose George Washington because he liked the school's urban feel. My friend Trip liked Georgetown better because he is a Catholic, was raised in Catholic schools and really liked the religious presence. Now Trip is in law school at CUA.
Also GWU has many famous alumni and a great basketball team.
In short, all of the schools are great and you cannot go wrong. One must look to personal fit and culture when determining which is best.
