<p>So, I am planning on applying ED to WUSTL this year, and I wanted to know how good chances of getting in are.</p>

<p>Grades: Current GPA is a 4.15</p>

I have taken the ACT twice; the first time I got a 29, the second a 31. Superscored, if that matters, my ACT composite is a 32. </p>

<p>I have visited WUSTL, and my uncle used to be a professor there (he now works at Rice University).</p>

<p>Are my chances good? Do you have any suggestions for my application process? Thanks!</p>

<p>You already wrote the same post in a different thread. Your grades look fine, ACT superscored puts you at lower end of mid 50%. Not sure how much depth is conveyed in your EC. WUSTL is a great place (my son starts there next week). Applying early is the best way to demonstrate interest. Best of luck.</p>

<p>When WUSTL’s acceptance rate is ~16%, best to consider it a “reach-for-anyone” school. But you are on the right track to make it reachable.</p>

<p>It is a reach b/c

  1. your ACT is too low
  2. your ECs are a little average (unless you have a bunch of leadership positions)
  3. WashU is a reach for mostly everyone who applies b/c it’s so freaking competitive to get in haha
    But you still definitely have a chance if you improve your ACT score and write good essays</p>

<p>Try to get your ACTs up to 32-33+, that would significantly increase your chances.</p>

<p>Also, continue your good record in school and make sure that you showcase one or two specific activities that you are passionate about and really follow through with them. In any case, I would consider this a low reach, and possibly even a high match if you can continue to excel in your transcript and scores.</p>
