to Aramin: Do you just press "enter" after you fill out the info needed? If you did do that, then that's probably the reason why you can't log in. (it happens to me every time I log in. Gosh, I never learn from my mistakes haha.) You must click "access update".

I'm still pretty thrilled about it...I stare at the letter every single day haha.

has anyone been accepted RD that was not invited to the multicultural thing, last year they sent out decisions on march 15th so has anyone called to find out if that is when we get ours?

Decision: ACCEPTED to College of Art (after ED deferral)!

Stats:

ACT: 33 (E:30, M:36, R:29, S:35)
SAT IIs: Math II:760 (no studying or practice)
GPA: 3.63 UW
Rank: HS does not rank
Other stats: AP Physics B: 4. Currently taking AP Math BC, AP Biology, AP Gov/Pol.

Subjective:

Essays: OK, not my strength. Sent an additional personal essay after deferral
Counselor Rec: should be good; mentioned ADD and receptive language learning disability I have.
Hook: Nationally ranked in JHU-CTY Spatial Test Battery (highest female; 6th highest overall)

Location/Person:

State or Country: NY
School Type: Public (very competitive, nationally ranked)
Ethnicity:Caucasian
Gender: Female
Perceived Strengths/Weaknesses: art portfolio, spatial/math/science abilities are strengths.
Why you think you were deferred/accepted: After ED deferral, I brought up grades, sent update letter and add'l essay. Showed massive interest by visiting twice in 5 years, attending all rep visits to my HS.

Other Factors:

Model UN Chairperson and several awards, Varsity Swimmer: Sectionals qualifier (previously Captain of JV), Scholar-Athlete, Art shows/summer classes, Math Team, TONS of community service including middle school swim coach, lots more....

General Comments/Congratulations/Venting/Commiserations,etc: Plan to double major in fashion design (art) and psychology. Received early notification letter with invitation to be flown out for Art Visit Weekend (on Wash U's tab!).

Aahh. That sounds better (i think), because I was beginning to wonder if it meant rejection. Haha. Pre decision hysteria getting to me. Thanks for clearing it up.

Same here....all of these early notifications are making me crazy (and I'm the parent)....(some of them, though, are actually encouraging, but not getting any hopes up....my d is still a female from NJ; not the best demographic for college admissions......)

"my d is still a female from NJ; not the best demographic for college admissions"

Yeah. Why is that? I've seen it around the forum but, as a far removed international, don't really understand why. Sorry for the off-topic post.

Hm, I was accepted, but I don't feel like filling the thing out this moment, but I'm a girl from NJ and I don't even understand why either. I don't have the best grades (if you can look around in my posts elsewhere you can see them) and I'm barely top 10% of my school which is insanely competitive. But I wouldn't see why being jersey girl is that bad to college admissions.
