Washington University in St. Louis Class of 2016

^They do alumni interviews all over…not just on campus.

@jeckert I did an on-campus interview when I visited, and my interviewer was very warm, friendly, and enjoyable to talk to. You’d definitely have more of a personal touch if you had an interview.

To the students concerned about the “mandatory” 500 word limit on the Common App essay:

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-essays/1156079-common-application-essay-length-500-words-not-strict-cut-off.html

So it appears that this is NOT an actual limit, but more of a recommendation, probably due to complaints of 1,000+ word essays received by universities. I hope that everyone else on here is as relieved as I was when I found out!

I’m also applying ED and will keep everyone updated with my status!

So I just got the invite to Discovery Weekend. It’s sounding pretty awesome so far.

Have you guys already made the decision whether to ED or RD?

anybody finished their scholarships yet?

WashU doesn’t have a supplementary essay right?

^ correct.
