So after reading this thread, I ask my D did she receive a call today. Her response, uhhh yeah, from some number I didn’t know. We check the vm and she is a finalist for Ervin! God is Amazing

Congrats to finalists!! Does anyone know if the calls today were for scholarships that require additional materials or the merit scholarships that are considered with submission of the application?
These are washu signeture scholer programs, which has seperate writing section(not part of common app)

Finalists for these programs means acceptance for sure, at least thats what its FAQ section said.

The gentleman we spoke with said that all finalist were chosen from the admitted students list they received from admissions. So yes, all finalist are already accepted.

I’m not sure either but it’s weird that I’ve just heard of 6 people who got the call. I thought it was like a 100 in total for all scholar programs but idk. I’ve been anxious ever since I find out someone got a call

It’s possible some just aren’t posting, they’re probably celebrating. Don’t lose hope.
D got it too, it is so cool and personal that they take the time to call! Does being a finalist pretty much means that you’d get at least half tuition or what do you think about the chances now? They used to fly everyone in for finalist weekend, but now that everything is virtual, thinking that it could possibly mean some changes in numbers?

Does the people that were not finalists to the signature scholarships get a notification for it as well? Or just not hearing from them the answer?
