WashU Early Decision Class of 2016

One more thing that I rarely see discussed. A traditional double is about $1,000 a year cheaper than a modern double. That is another consideration.

Traditional triples even more so.

Thanks to both of you for taking the time to respond! And, Nina, I’ve noticed your frequent posts on the WUSTL threads…I, too, am an ED candidate for the class of 2016, and just wanted to wish you good luck with the application process. Hopefully we’ll both be in Ryan and 2135’s position in a year!

Ryan, what do you mean when you say 4 singles, 2 doubles and 2 triples are set up to share a bathroom AND a common area? Freshman suites typically don’t have common areas.

I was using the term “common area” quite loosely. I was referring to the space directly inside the door to the suite from which you can access the bathrooms and each individual room. I wasn’t referring to anything more grandiose.

Good luck to you too! This will all be over in just over two months!

Visiting next weekend, so psyched!
What are interviews like there?

All I can say from experience is that they won’t hurt your application much, if at all. I never had an interview, and was still accepted. However, I have heard they are extremely laid back, and very conversational.

I think my interview was a little different. I had two interviewers (one student and one administrative faculty member). They asked me basic questions about the activities I am involved in, my community, etc. They were very friendly and made me feel very comfortable.

Hey everyone, have anybody of you applied for Financial Aid?
I did, and till yesterday there was a green tick notifying that they had received the form. But today when I check my Financial Aid status, the page is blank. Just plain white. Does anybody know what this means?

Guess it was the problem with the website. Its okay now.

Just under one month left until applications are due!

Well, I guess I’m a little late.

Lol why Niceman?

See, when you said "Just under one month left until applications are due! ", I thought you meant “Only under 1 month left until applications are due!” .
So, now I say: Well, I guess I’m a little early.

Three weeks left until the ED deadline!

Do you hear any earlier than Dec. 15 about ED?

Heyy I’m doing ED for WUSTL class of 2016 too! I’m worried that my guidance counselor/teacher won’t send in my stuff on time :frowning: i already sent everything from my side in. ugh. And i don’t think you hear earlier than the 15th for ED. So that means that I have to write all my supplements for my RD colleges. What a pain

I think last year we heard around the 10th or 11th last year, the official release date was the 15th like it is this year. You check online through pathway, quite the nerve-wracking experience…

Yeah it was definitely before the 15th last year. However, this year could be different. They will notify us no later than the 15th, however.
