WashU Early Decision Class of 2016

After reading some of the posts, I have decided to be grateful that I don’t own a electronic device with internet capability. At least I will be somewhat sane tomorrow (she says optimistically)! Yay for three-year-old candy bar phones! :)

I feel like this thread has developed into a quasi-family. I really wish everyone on here the best of luck regarding decisions tomorrow! What do you think your chances are of getting in?

Hopefully they’re released tomorrow, otherwise we’re stuck with the dreadful weekend of waiting! =(

Waiting the weekend would be torture. I’d have to be occupied the entire time.

@bnaelitz probably about 50/50. How about you?

@alyssa 312 I just don’t know where I stand but I feel pretty confident. I think that my Cleveland clinic internship will make me stand out but I just don’t know. And bearing the weekend might be too much for me!

@bnaelitz I don’t really think I have much to go on. My GPA, essay, and ECs are great but my schedule sophomore and junior year were less than impressive and my scores were garbage, still keeping my head up but not really expecting too much.

Do you think they have made the decisions already and are just making us wait? Because that’d just be cruel.

I’d say 50/50 myself. My GPA is good, but my ACT is a tad bit low.

Essay and Recs are awesome (at least in my opinion, haha).

@rackem45 I wish you the best! One can never really know how this admissions game will play out! If I get accepted, I will be most happy that I will not have to write any more admissions essays. I find them excruciatingly painful!

@alyssa312 I wish they would just post the admissions results as they process the applications. I find this process little bit drawn out!

Admissions are just SO random!! I really really hope it’s tomorrow! I don’t know how I would survive the weekend.

@bnaelitz Best of luck to you too! I’ve heard from numerous sources that this school is literally the epitome of a crapshoot. Maybe we can both get in, I’d love to see you on campus haha you sound great.

@bnaelitz I agree. The school I applied to with rolling admission was less stressful.

I hope we all get in. It’d be awesome to go to school with everyone!

@rackem45 Thank you! I’d love to go to school with everyone here! Everyone is just so nice and personable.

@alyssa312 When it comes to Washington University, I feel that applying early decision is a bit more consistent.

I don’t even know where it would go if I didn’t get accepted! I already applied to Case Western Reserve University, but that is by no means my top choice. I’m also considering Cornell, University of Pennsylvania, Johns Hopkins, and University of Chicago.

I really love this  Good luck to you all! Just think of it this way: all this waiting will make getting the decision so much more rewarding (if it is an acceptance, of course!). Keeping mentally sane is the most difficult part.

If you get accepted, what’s the first thing you’ll do to celebrate? For me I think I’ll go to five guys burgers and fried.

For some reason, I cannot get onto the washu pathway site.
Is this happening to anyone else??

Hmm mine’s working fine

Mine too, but mine went down last night for like five minutes. So maybe it just happens?

@bnaelitz- I celebrated getting into Tulane by not doing any homework haha XD Not sure what I’d do.
