WashU Early Decision Class of 2016

@hesterprynne
I don’t really know when to expect financial aid to come. I hope when they say “a few days” that they mean from the time they released decisions not from the time we receive our letters in the mail.

@nina: I emailed them yesterday and this is what i got: "Financial aid decisions are being mailed and you should receive it by the end of the week. You will also be able to check this information online later this week at [Student Financial Services](http://sfs.wustl.edu), under “Incoming Students” you will choose “View and Accept Your Award.”
yay!

thanks that is great news!

I’m an anthropology pre-med with a double minor in writing and drama, so I can answer a few questions :slight_smile:

I really love the humanities here. WashU is known for their sciences a little more – but the humanities classes are actually really enjoyable, while basic science courses (physics, gen chem, orgo, etc.) are very painful and probably the most miserable classes possible. Anthropology here is a relatively small department but has some of the most amazing teachers ever (Prof. Childs does research in Nepal) and will get you super involved in the subject, part of the reason why I’m studying it. I really enjoy the drama and English departments here, too – they both are all on first-name basis with students (in fact I didn’t know my english professor’s last name until about a week ago…oops.). If you like humanities you’ll love them here, but get used to writing a lot (I have ~20 pages of writing to do before Friday along with 3 acting performances and 3 final exams).

The law school is in the top 20 in the country, and I know a few polisci/pre-law students. I think ~40% of the '15 class declared pre-med, but that usually drops to 20-30% sophomore year. It really just depends on what you want to do…there are so many classes, I actually don’t have enough time for all of them :)

@nina I also checked online and it said we should hear back from financial aide about 2-3 days after we are notified of admission. So it should be any day now

@synth204 Great thanks for your information! I’m feeling a lot more hopeful now!lol

Has anyone received their financial aid info yet? I’m still waiting…

Nevermind, I found it online!

SOOOOOO EXCITED!
Wash U was my dream school…
