The admissions office said that they saw an increase in the amt of ppl this year.
For all of those who were waitlisted, I can’t stress how important it is to keep showing demonstrated interest. My brother was waitlisted at Duke two years ago and ended up getting accepted because he constantly kept reaching out to his AO and wrote a letter of demonstrated interest. Don’t give up!
I am wondering any one get in inRD
Keep your chin-up, any university will be lucky to have you as part of their community. Best of luck in all you do.
Son was rejected. It was a long shot even though his dad graduated from there. We know my husband’s Wash U roommate’s son was rejected last year with perfect grades and test scores. Oh well! He has 8 other great options.
Rejected, 32, 34 superscore, 4.3, great extra curriculars, okay essay
Accepted, TN, 33 composite, 34 superscore, 4.52 weighted, pretty good ECs, pretty good essays
I got waitlisted with lower stats
Accepted
1400 SAT
32 ACT
4.47 GPA
Lots of extracurriculars
Wow that makes me feel great! What were ur stats, extra curriculars, etc?
I’m a bit sad that I was outright rejected given how much demonstrated interest I feel like I showed, but rejection is just redirection.
Congrats to those who got accepted!
Same! I had so much flipping demonstrated interest. Blah! Sad.
Hi VeryFishyFish, Can you please tell me what does AO stand for. In other words, i wanted to know who to reach out to demonstrate your interest. Thanks!

Is it Admissions Officer - How do you find out who that person is and their contact information?
Oh wow sorry that’s my bad didn’t mean to come off like that, my Gpa was a 4.24 I guess my essays were good and I was involved in a lot of political civil rights stuff as my ECs. I applied test-optional.
Their picture and name are on the screen when you log into the Admissions portal.
