WashU in St. Louis Class of 2025 — Regular Decision

Congrats! Just curious, did you apply for fin aid?

Denied. 1560 SAT, 4.2 GPA, US Junior Olympic gymnast practicing 25 hours/week, excellent recs one from AP Calc Teacher, Oh well. Who knows what they look for. Guess I was too one-dimensional without other extracurriculars other than a lot of volunteer service. Spending 25 hours a week in the gym competing at an elite level doesn’t leave much room for anything else.

Sorry, should’ve been more clear.

AO stands for admissions officer. Your representative’s contact information should be on your portal. If not, a quick google search for “washu admissions officer + your city” will give you their contact information.

The letter is basically a statement that you write to the university saying that they’re your top choice and that you would attend if you got taken off the waitlist. It’s important that you’re sure washu is your top choice before sending the letter in (which can be done through your counselor). Good luck!

D on waitlist, ACT 36 and SAT 1570. 3.97 UW, 5.xx weighted GPA. NMF

Stats please.

Twins both waitlisted. 3.95/3.98 UW, 34/35 ACT, middling ECs, Hispanic, California, need significant aid, not much demonstrated interest

Rejected. Not disappointed, considering that the NPC estimated my annual contribution at a whopping $65k :cold_sweat: But I am a bit surprised that I was not waitlisted- I conducted research with WashU students last year and thought that would count for something. I have other offers (including a full scholarship!!) so I don’t feel too bad though. Congrats to those accepted!

1520 SAT
3.94 UW and 4.48 W (higher including senior grades)

I hate that you write so many essays for the scholarships, make a video, only to find out that you did not get in !

It is tough this year; and maybe always is. But an unsatisfactory application result doesn’t, shouldn’t and won’t change what you have accomplished. You should hold your head high. Good news and bright future is on the way; it takes longer because it is worth waiting for.

Daughter waitlisted which is fine since accepted at Johns Hopkins and MIT

For those of you watching for packages on USPS daughters package that came from Johns Hopkins came from “stamps” and I traced it and it started in PA, not Maryland!
