<p>Which acronym do you guys use? I have a friend who had always used washu, until he got accepted, and now all he says is wustl. what's the deal with that? is wustl for all the acceptees or somethin? cuz everyone i know always used to say washu.</p>
<p>it dosen't matter. as a current student, i use them interchangably. so whatever goes. some days i'm in a wash u mood, some days i'm in a wustl mood.</p>

<p>Hahahaa... wustl is very wussy. Everyone in St. Louis has always called it WashU. Ever since the school has been moving up in the rankings though, they've been trying to get the name recognition too. (We had a band perform at WILD one year that said "How's it goin washington state!!"... yeah.) So the school made a big push for wustl instead of washu, so people stop confusing us with the university of washington, etc.</p>
