Wat exactly is the max credits for 1st years?

Ppl tell me its 16, but online I see 17. Ihave 17 on ISIS...?

16 when you registered at orientation. 17 on ISIS. so the answer for now is 17.

17 for CLAS, SARC, and NURS and 19 for SEAS

it's however many you want as long as you get the appropriate people to sign off (adviser, dean, etc.)

I know 1st years who've taken in the 20s. You might have heard of David Bahn..who completed his degree in one year..taking 20-something credits first semester and 30-something credits 2nd semester (plus he had 70ish AP credits)

...not to give you any wild ideas...most of the people I'm referring to are exceptional students. The point I'm trying to make is that you shouldn't worry about creating your schedule around 1 or 2 credits to satisfy the credit limit b/c it's easy to get around. The limit is really there to serve as a guideline b/c around 19/20 is where most people will not be able to handle their courseload.
