as you can see which have the best engineering majors(civil or electric, electronic)?which one is the best!

From my meager understanding of Canadian universities, I gather that Waterloo is the best out of the lot. I don't know which one's best for your particulary sub-specialities but as for engineering in general.. Waterloo is number one. Or so they say.

thanks lancer for your reply.
any other ideas about that

Waterloo is excellent in Computer Science, which is why it is so popular among international students. But in Engineering, Waterloo is not better than Toronto or McGill. In Chemical Engineering, McGill is supposed to be #1 in Canada and Toronto is #1 in Civil and Electrical.

so toronto is better for me if i choose canada for studying cuz i wanna study eletrical or civil.you know me :)

Alexandre - from where did u find out that Mcgill is no.1 for chemE? because i intend to pursue chemE and dont know where to apply in Canada.

Waleed, it is just what I heard. I could be wrong.

Sezgikocak, Toronto and McGill are almost equal. Chose the school you think will be more suited for your personality. Do not focus on insignificant details such as #1 vs #5. Adults couldn't care less about those details.

All three are good schools, so focus on other factors that are equally important, such as co-op, campus life, atmosphere, costs, etc.

Waleed, McGill is not the number 1 ChemE school. That spot EASILY goes to Alberta, followed by Toronto. I've never (and I mean never) heard McGill being top for ChemE. Alberta has the best Chemical, Petroleum, and Mining engineering schools. Obviously, look at the industry there. The province shovels so much money into those programs.

Best EE school is probably Waterloo or Toronto. You'll get a world class education from any of these three schools. Pick which one you like more.

I meant engineering programs*

Toronto is the greatest on electronic/comminications majors.UIUC and GATech are great too.which one do you recommend?if i complete my education in U.S can i work in Cananda ?

I don't know about eastern Canada, but western Canada and at least the western USA have an agreement that engineers can cross borders.
