It rained a lot last year, and my sneakers always got wet. I saw a few "dressy" shoes that were waterproof, but they're definitely not casual enough to wear on a daily basis...I checked REI, and they had hiking boots and all-weather boots for like $80. Can anyone recommend more casual shoes fit for rainy weather?

I don’t know. Leather desert boot maybe? I don’t think they’re “dressy”…

If you’re a girl, get those rubber rainboots. They’re ugly as hell, but I’ve seen all the hot sorority girls wear them. Or water-proof your Uggs.

Alternatively, if you’re a guy, I don’t really know what the problem is. I wear basic Nike AF1s and stuff like that and it never gets wet inside. Get decent shoes, I guess, but yeah.

My roommate wore flip-flops in the rain.

Haha Bartleby that’s so true about the rain boots! All of the hot girls at my high school always show up with these super rainbow colorful huge rubber boots whenever it rains. Where do you even buy those?

I think the rainboots look okay… most girls get 'em from stores like Target.

I wore running shoes last semester, and they got soaked. I ended up wearing flip flops for the rest of the year lol
Uh, I guess I’ll just get another pair of shoes and hope they don’t get wet. My floormate coincidentally wore Nike AFs, but they got soaked during the wetter days.

don’t buy new shoes. buy a shoe waterproofer. it’s a spray that smells very chemically, but keeps your shoes dry if you spray it on right/liberally. you can buy it at most footwear stores. my mom used to spray it over my sister and my sneakers before we got out to a rainy day at an outdoor high school. it only costs around $5 (maybe up to $10), but it lasted us a whole season and it’s totally worth it. i don’t know how it works but as long as there weren’t holes in my shoes (i.e. on converse), my feet and socks stayed really dry. i’m definitely the girl who just wear flip flops in the rain, but that’s because i’m from southern california and basically only wear flip flops! i wouldn’t advise it though because it’s slippery and gets the entire bottom portion of your pants soaked.

I wore running shoes too…my feet were never soaked. My shoes kinda were…Stop jumping in puddles. haha Damn I hated when the campanile area floods and I couldn’t tell how deep the stupid puddles were…
