I've been wondering about my ECs, and I'm usually not criticized regarding them...but here they are:

Traveling Basketball (9th)
Referee for children's Bball games (10th, 11th, [12th])
Job (3.5 months 11th [12th, longer time])
Volunteer work at hospital, 75 hours (11th, [12th])
Piano for 10 years (9th, 10th, 11th, [12th]) passed various exams in theory and playing, have advanced in competition (going to a state comp. this year), helped out in church
Track (9th, 10th, 11th (L) [12th (L)])

I'm looking at Tulane, Syracuse, Boston U, Miami, and others. Problems with these? Rate 1 - 10?

I don't think those are a problem at all. Your well rounded. It may be a good idea for you to just do some random community service stuff, but I think overall your fine. Maybe get a team together to participate in a Cancer walk or something along those lines. Just for 1 day, the fact that you led a team to make money to donate to cancer research would probably look good.

there is no actually "weak" EC, ecs are just what you enjoy doing, so as long as you show your dedication, 7 years of guitar is equivalent to 7 years of class president.
