Wealthy donor father, free spirited student with HOOKS. Chance me!!

Hello; I am a rising senior, and I believe it is my path to attend harvard, the most prestigious historical school in the world. After meeting with a "high up" admissions officer before my interview, I was told that my chances for admission were high; but, I just decided to confirm or deny my chances on here. I also plan to apply to Yale and Princeton as well as Amherst because if I am able to get into Harvard, I will be able to get into these places.

I derive from a wealthy NYC hedge fund family (old money folks say WHUT WHUT) but I quickly learned that the life of white privilege was not for me. I forced my family to allow me to move to the rocky mountains, where I currently reside with distant family in a small mountain residence and a town of less than a thousand. Many find my values strange, but I believe in them wholeheartedly and I am sure that top universities will understand the uniqueness of my lifestyle.

I have taken numerous AP courses at the highest of levels, and amassed an array of extracurriculars which I believe compete with the very best of the nation. Furthermore, my father has already funded an Ivy League gymnasium (which will go unnamed) and is prepared to donate to whichever university I choose to attend.

Because my family owns a ranch in Wyoming, I will be applying as a resident of that state. I have heard that this amplifies my chances of admission by an exponential amount.

In my common app essay, I intend to talk about the most influential figure in my life, who has been my chemistry tutor. Before meeting him, I struggled in the subject, but he taught me the tricks of the trade; especially, how to get a good grade on the SAT II.

You all seem like kind and educated people, and I look forward to hearing your thoughts on my appeal as an applicant.

You really have an interesting background. No doubt that the experienced admissions officers will value that fairly. Since your father is stronge at many levels, I suggest using his connections to get a few unique recommendation letters. Maybe you should try to highen your SAT 2 Math exam or take another subject. Your appeal as an applicant is surely high because everyone has good grades and a few ECs, but Fencing is really interesting. Good luck!

Get more volunteer work to appear more well-rounded.

You 2 are buying this? A small montain town with less than 1000 people that has in it’s high school jv fencing and croquet? Puhleeze. ■■■■■ has way too much time on his or her hands or maybe has been dipping into the cannibus at the cannibus club at school.

This is too funny. I’m just trying to imagine him advising his small town classmates on NYC style philanthropy. “When you go to a gala at the Met make sure your driver lets you out on the South side and…”

Then we get to the ECs. “You may be an Intel winner who’s gone to the Junior Olympics twice, but I have JV fencing!”

This is what is produced by bored kids in the early morning hours.

you forgot to capitalize Harvard, the most prestigious historical school in the world. Not buying it.
