My D was only at Bucknell for a weekend, and so she really doesn’t know what the weather is like most of the year in Lewisburg. Can someone break it down for us? (just what it is like during the school year) Thanks!

Being on the eastern side of most of the mountains, the weather is pretty mild most of the year. It can be quite hot during the late August days, but cools off nicely at night. Fall is gorgeous - 50's-low 60's - sweatshirt weather well into November. Winter is much milder than harsh western PA winters....they do get snow, but not usually too much at any one time. It's in the 50's-low 60's again already, probably head steadily toward mid-60's to low 70's by end of classes. Spring can be rainy at times, but it is pretty comfortable most of the time.

My kid is used to South Texas, but he doesn't find the weather overly distressing...cold/wet/what have you.

I graduated from BU many moons ago, but I distinctly remember walking around in shorts and bare feet in the spring, so it can't have been too bad. And more than a little snow was unusual enough that lots of trays disappeared from the cafeteria when it happened. It's definitely not like the tundra of upstate New York where I live now!
