who else is eager to see Princeton's new website? Their current one is.. well.. no comment

raises hand And I've been waiting since last year. Grrr...

omg princeton's website sucks

their new one will increase apps probably

Haha, agreed.

I wasn't attracted to princeton at first because their website is a bit...unappealing...when is the new one coming out?

ask phil - he's the one with all the inside scoop on their techno-labs (jks) Well, last I heard it was supposed to be out 2 months ago!/?

I don't like the site too: It hasn't changed from 1999(archive.org). But then again check out what MIT had back in 1999:
http://web.archive.org/web/19990117053049/www.mit.edu/
eek.

oh, but that I knew. I know they upgraded their e-mail server (which is crashing right now, btw), but no update to the actual site. I wish I could spend more time at their site, but it's only updated with rather trivial news from time to time. Sad times, sad times.

so does that explain why I didnt get a confirmation e-mail? I was a bit concerned about that...

see - phil has the inside scoop.
Philip- WHAT CRASH?!?! WHEN!?!? WHERE!? WHAT'S GOING ON?!?! ARE OUR BABIES (SORRY, APPLICATIONS) GOING TO MAKE IT THROUGH?!?!

hahahaha, classic. And I don't really think it's related to the admissions e-mail server stuff/whatever. It mostly just seems to be the students' e-mails that have gone to the fiery place and back. Why did I bring that up? watches the Panic of 2004 begin satellite-eyed

You speak my mind. I hope the new website will include an application tracking section, though. And, EncomiumII, you don't need to add my name to the roster... I'm RD. :)

lol our babies...

To track your application, just give the admissions office a call.

Thanks, mzhang23, just hoping they'll put it on their new website because that will make things more convenient (for them, too. Less time answering phone calls, more time reading our apps!)

The admissions officers aren't the ones answering the phones. Hired workers and students do that.

Do you answer phones?

so if you call, can you get an update on your application right then and there? Will they tell you whether it's been received, whether they have your SAT scores , etc? Or do they try to get you to call back later/wait for a confirmation card/other b.s?

if anyone has called already/knows about this, please do answer - i'm debating whether/not to call, or if email is better...& calling is expensive for some people

Call; they are kinda slow with emails...
