Is there anything to do at Rutgers besides drinking at frat parties?

You can drink at house parties…

Haha but seriously I guarantee there’s a lot more to do, but I don’t go there so I’m not 100% on everything there, but my girlfriend’s roommate doesn’t drink at all and she still goes out to do things so I’m sure there’s stuff to do.

Go see a game. There are other sports team other than the football team =)

Movie night with a friend or two in your dorm

Some clubs meet on the weekend, but like Sunday.

Study group at the library (I know, booorrring, lol, but well worth it if you want to be productive)
-Performance at the State Theatre or comedy club downtown.

Gather a group of friends to play basketball or volleyball or ultimate Frisbee (best in early September and during the last 2 months of the Spring semester)

Maybe get a job to be productive or find a club that has volunteer opportunities on the weekend.

Or if you’re bored of being in the Rutgers bubble . . .

-Train to Philadelphia or New York with a buddy (or by yourself if you are familiar with the area)
- Take the NJ transit bus to Menlo Park Mall or Woodbridge Mall. I think it costs like $2.35 or something. The 810 bus stops near the train station stop on campus.

Apples to Apples. oh yes.

There is nothing really to do on weekends which is why everyone goes home. The bus system is pretty bad on the weekends so it’s very hard to get around and if you’re on Livingston its pretty boring.

^ bus system does suck on weekends. If you miss one, you’re kind of screwed and will have to wait for the next 20 minutes for the next one. Even worse is if you’re on one of the Piscataway campuses and trying to get to Cook/Douglass. That’s two bus rides there. No REXL, no REXB on weekends :(

So is it safe to say if someone is interested in staying on campus during the weekends they should live on College Ave ?

Anywhere is fine for weekends I guess. But I feel that when it comes to convenience, College Avenue is good. You have the train station and can walk to downtown if you’re bored.

Although College Ave dorms are ehh. From what I’ve grasped the order tends to be Busch>College Ave>Livingston>Cook/Douglass
