I've seen people say that their UW is like 4.3 out of 4.0!
Isn't that impossible?
I was under the impression that UW meant that an A was a 4 and so on... Do AP classes have any effect on UW? I thought they didn't!!!!! My head is spinning! JKP, but seriously.

Also, I've seen people say that their weighted is 5.4.... What? I thought an AP was the highest and was only worth 5 for an A... OK, anyone who can answer this, thx

OK so it’s all clear now. When people say that their unweighted is 4.3 or whatever, it means that they just go to a school where GPA’s are based out of 5. And when their weighted is over 5, it signifies the same. Thx MUCH =)

My school operates the same way Matt’s does. It’s alright, considering a top student in my school system only takes 6-10 AP classes and because there’s no such thing as honors health, tech ed, or gym.

WAIT! So when colleges post their freshman class GPA does that count UW or W GPA? Because I see med-high colleges like U. Maryland with 3.94 as their incoming GPA.

Oh really? Is there a certain way to put it on your college apps though? I mean there has to be some type of standard unless this is just insane…
