Weird Common App glitch with Economics/AEM?

Hello,

This is the information that I put into Academics:

Are you planning to utilize the Primary/Alternate admission option? No.
Primary Choice College/School: Arts and Sciences
Anticipated major within the college/school you've chosen above: Economics

But after previewing the Common App portion in the PDF form, I noticed that this now showed up on the application: Alternate anticipated major within the alternate college/school you've chosen above: Applied Economics and Management

After quitting the preview, and going back to the Questions, it was there!! I understand that AEM is in a completely different school, and I already said No to the first question, so I don't understand why it's there. I've logged in and out, cleared the questions, went on a different computer, and it's still there. I have no idea why it's doing this. Is this supposed to happen? I'm not given a second supplement to answer either.

ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

Thanks!

Also, even when I edit it, the box to choose the alternate anticipated major disappears.

Did you originally have the alternate choice selected? My son did, and then decided to only apply to his primary, and could not remove the secondary school. He finally contacted CA tech support and they resolved the issue within hours. Might be worth contacting them to see if they can resolve the issue. I believe he sent screen shots along with the request. Good luck!

Oh, thank you so much! I will try that, and hopefully it all works.

And yes, I did have the alternate choice selected before. Maybe that’s why.

I think it may be as I think I saw someone else posting the same thing here during the ED round. Of course, that is only a sample of three, so who knows? I sent you a message.

Yes, thank you! I’ve submitted a question to Common App with the screenshots.

Though the other situation that you posed in the pm is quite weird…

Wow more people are having this problem now. I had the same problem back when I applied ED (actually made a CC post about it too haha) but yeah, the commonapp support will fix it for you. I just emailed them and they fixed it pretty quickly

I never got an answer back from CA, but I checked my app this morning and it was gone!! Submitted my app earlier this morning!
